NJ Oak Solar - Energized & Operational
Published December 29th, 2011
Lincoln Renewable Energy (LRE), a developer of U.S. solar and wind power projects, today announced that it has energized its 10 MW AC NJ Oak Solar solar project located in Fairfield Township, Cumberland County. The project consists of 53,200 solar modules constructed on a 100-acre site and connects to Atlantic City Electric’s distribution system. The project is the largest non-utility owned project east of the Mississippi.
According to LRE’s project management team, at approximately 2:15 PM EST, December 29, 2011, the final inverter was brought fully online at NJ Oak Solar, with the entire 10 MW AC plant running and fully operational. In all, it took a little over an hour to run through the energization process with Atlantic City Electric (ACE) and to bring every inverter up one at a time while performing in-service checks.
LRE is developing solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in multiple East and West Coast markets, managed from offices in Chicago, Denver and Hoboken, NJ. LRE is actively developing projects in 9 states totaling some 900 megawatts across 25 projects. Since its formation in 2009, LRE has grown to become one of the leading independent developers of solar projects in the U.S. To date, LRE has raised more than $65 million in equity and project finance to fund its rapid growth.
